  1. Fumonisins (FB1, FB2 and FB3)
Are you confident that the potential levels of Fumonisins of your supply chain are within the legislative levels? Fera Science Limited can analyse maize based food or feed samples to measure levels of fumonisins B1, B2 and B3.
  2. Trichothecenes

Fera Science Limited analyse food or feed samples to measure levels of a number of type A and type B trichothecenes (deoxynivalenol, nivalenol, fusarenon X, 3-Acetyldeoxynivalenol, 15-Acetyldeoxynivalenol, diacetoxyscirpenol, T-2 toxin, HT-2 toxin and neosolaniol).

  3. Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids

Pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) are a group of toxins produced by several species of plants, that typically grow as weeds. Contamination of other plant crops with PAs, e.g. teas and herbal products can occur as a result of small amounts of these weeds being included with these crops.

These toxins are a potential risk for consumers as they can enter the food chain. Fera has developed an LC-MSMS method to analyse for 28 pyrrolizidine alkaloids each with a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 1 μg/kg.
