This growing on test takes six to eight weeks where tubers are grown on in the glasshouse and subsequently tested for various PVY strains and any specific viruses as requested using ELISA.
  2. Standard growing on test for virus in Potato (PVY + 7 viruses)
This growing on test takes six to eight weeks where tubers are grown on in the glasshouse and subsequently tested for various PVY strains and any specific viruses as requested using ELISA.

  4. Crown Gall Disease (Tumor-Inducing Plasmid) Testing
A test for Rhizobium radiobacter (formerly known as Agrobacterium tumefaciens), which is responsible for crown gall disease in plants. The bacterium enters the plant through wounds in roots or stems and stimulates disorganised tissue growth, producing swollen galls.

  6. Potato tuber test - potato mop top virus and tobacco rattle virus (PMTV & TRV)

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  7. Spraing soil bait test - potato mop top virus and tobacco rattle virus (PMTV & TRV)

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  8. Spraing soil bait test - potato mop top virus (PMTV)

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  9. Spraing soil bait test - tobacco rattle virus (TRV)

Tests for the 2 viruses responsible for spraing, the nematode transmitted Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the Powdery scab transmitted Potato mop top virus (PMTV)

  10. Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV) - Rhizomania
Rhizomania is caused by infection of the plants by Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV).
  11. Brassica virus screening (3 virus screen)
Test to identify 3 viruses that can cause significant damage to brassica crops including oilseed rape.
  12. Standard growing on test for virus in Potato (PVY)
