  1. Plant-parasitic nematodes in seed (including stem nematode)
    Test to identify plant-parasitic nematodes in seed (including stem nematode).
  2. Lettuce mosaic virus seed test by ELISA - (1000 seeds)
    Lettuce mosaic virus (LMV) is a seed transmissible virus causing defects in lettuce heading, leaf distortions and variation in leaf colour.
  3. Pea seed-borne mosaic virus by ELISA - Seeds
    Pea seed-borne mosaic virus (PSbMV) a seed and aphid transmitted virus that causes yield losses and seed defects in a range of bean and pea crops.
  4. Pepino mosaic virus seed test by ELISA - (1000 seeds)
    Pepino mosaic virus (PepMV) affected tomatoes show distorted leaf development, with bubbling of the leaf surface and chlorosis.

  6. Tomato mosaic virus seed test by ELISA - (1000 seeds)
    Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), is an infection that can cause yellowing and stunting of tomato plants, resulting in reduced yield and may cause uneven ripening of fruit.
  7. Fatty acid profiling (Bacterial culture identification)
    Fatty Acid Profiling (FAP) is used to identify bacterial isolates and is accredited to UKAS ISO17025 standards. The profiles generated are compared against commercially available FAP libraries as well as our own in-house libraries generated using isolates from the National Collection of Plant Pathogenic Bacteria (NCPPB).
  8. DNA Sequencing (Bacterial culture identification)
    DNA sequencing of 16S rDNA or housekeeping genes can be performed to identify bacterial isolates to a species or pathovar level. Testing can be performed on fresh isolates sent in to our labs or as an additional service to identify bacteria isolated from a sample sent in for testing.
  9. Pea bacterial blight - Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi - Pea seed (5,000 seeds)
    Test for Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi, more commonly known as pea bacterial blight. Infection causes water-soaked spots which may coalesce into larger lesions.
