Lisa currently manages the GLP Quality Assurance Team at Fera Science. Lisa has worked in a GLP environment for over 20 years, starting as an analyst before moving into Quality Assurance. Prior to joining Fera, Lisa spent 8 years working for a contract research facility that specialised in testing biopesticides and other low-risk crop protection technologies.

Lisa’s career within GLP Quality Assurance began in the 1990s when she started training as a QA auditor in a contract facility. Over the years Lisa has worked for a variety of companies ranging from small contract facilities to multi-national manufacturing organisations.
In the early days, Lisa focused on auditing field studies which provided the opportunity for extensive travel to sites including tea trials in Kenya and peanut trials in Argentina. In 2021 Lisa joined FERA as their GLP QA Manager.
Lisa is an active member of Research Quality Assurance (RQA) including chairing the GLP committee, being a member of annual conference programme committee and presenting at conferences.
Regulations and restrictions on the use of chemicals to tackle plant and animal pests and diseases are becoming increasingly stringent, which means the range of chemical options available for tackling these threats is constantly being eroded. It’s essential to ensure that any chemicals used in the environment do not pose a threat to plants, wildlife and ecosystems, while ensuring they are effective against target pests and diseases.
