Joy is a molecular biologist at Fera who has a broad range of practical molecular biology skills including real-time PCR, DNA profiling and sequencing.  She is currently responsible for preparing and testing genetically modified proficiency test materials for the FAPAS international proficiency testing (PT) scheme. This work is carried out under ISO 17043 and aids customers in assuring compliance with GM legislative controls.  Joy is also involved in meat and fish authenticity PTs including halal compliance checks in meat samples.
