We help societies to become more resilient or achieve the three pillar of sustainability through combining bottom and top-down decision making approaches under rapid socio-economic changes. Fera can help you to understand the likely impacts and cost-effectiveness of your decisions and actions, so you can make well-informed choices on how to deploy the economic resources available.
Glyn is currently engaged in a number of projects relating to the social and economic impacts of plant and tree pests/diseases and sustainable intensification/mechanism options for agriculture. Glyn also is the Principle Investigator for the Institute for Agri-Food Research and Innovation, Newcastle University:
EUPHRESCO Chalara (2017/18): Project coordinator for EU/US project to assess ongoing research and scope for knowledge exchange
Newton-China PAFIC (2016-2019): Uptake of precision agriculture in China on family farms
EU H2020 (2017-2022): SolACE (Solutions for improving Agroecosystem and Crop Efficiency for water and nutrient use): Improving technology readiness levels through a multi-actor approach
Forestry Commission (2016-2017): Developing a plant health outbreak decision support framework. Principal Investigator
