With the EU exit fast approaching Fera Science Limited (Fera) has been approached by the UK Government to provide additional plant diagnostics in preparation for the changing landscape, supporting them to continue to keep our borders free of disease and pests. We are therefore looking to recruit up to 11 diagnosticians, take a look at our new positions here.



As pioneers in new diagnostic approaches and analytical science we undertake high quality research and provide solutions and advice on the control of plant diseases in agriculture, horticulture and the natural environment. Hence why Defra approached us to support them prepare for the additional diagnostic work that will be required once the UK has exited the EU.

We are therefore looking to scaleup our diagnostic capabilities to support Defra and are looking to recruit 11 new diagnostic positions within the Plant Health division. These roles will be responsible for delivering the anticipated increase in samples requiring diagnosis. The new roles will be 2-year fixed term contracts with the possibility of a permanent role.
