Since joining Fera Science Ltd in 2018 in the new role, Head of Ecotoxicology Steven Mattock has been working on the build of our new Aquatic Facility.
Steve has worked in this field for over 35 years and, so we were delighted to welcome someone with such great experience, who we hope can further develop our growing ecotoxicology department.
Steve’s role revolves around managing and developing the ecotoxicology team. This includes working on building up client relationships and expanding our existing range of services. In the short-term Steve will be focusing on introducing our new fish laboratories. This project is one of many reasons why Steve decided to join Fera, as he was excited by the challenge of getting the fish laboratories commissioned and launching the initial studies.
Steve joined us following an established career at TGSE, where he worked as both an environmental risk assessor and a project manager. He has also gained valuable experience as study director at Covance and as a laboratory manager at Life Science Research. The skill sets and knowledge that Steve has developed over this time means he should have no difficulty in making the transition to working at Fera.
