  1. Aminoglycosides
    In veterinary medicine in the European Union (EU), Aminoglycosides (AGs) account for 3.5% of the total sales of antimicrobials. Fera's food safety experts can highlight the presence of Aminoglycosides across a range of food types including: fish, red meat, honey, and milk.
  2. Avermectins
    The avermectins are a series of drugs used to treat parasitic worms. Fera food safety experts make use of innovative testing methods to highlight the levels of a comprehensive range of avermectins, within your food samples. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to verify that the levels of avermectins within your food products are compliant.
  3. β-agonists
    β-Agonists (beta-agonists or Beta adrenergic agonists) are used in veterinary medicine to treat pulmonary disorders, but have also been used illegally as growth promoters for more efficient meat production. Fera’s food safety scientists can screen your food samples to check residue levels and confirm they are not present where not permitted, for example from use as illicit growth promoters in the EU.
  4. Coccidiostats (Multi-residue)

    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of coccidostats, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of coccidostats within your food products.

  5. Dyes Screen
    This package screen by Fera contains a comprehensive range of dyes which have been known to be illegally employed as topical fungicides or acaracides in aquaculture.
  6. Macrolides
    Fera scientists can analyse food samples to detect residues from macrolides (including lincosamides). We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of macrolides within your food products
  7. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
    Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are a drug class used in the treatment of colic and musculoskeletal disorders in horses, infectious diseases in cattle, and as an aid in the treatment of mastitis in sows and dairy cows.
  8. Penicillins/Cephalosporins

    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of penicillins and cephalosporins, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of penicillins and cephalosporins within your food products.

  9. Quinolones (including fluoroquinolones)

    Fera scientists can analyse food samples to detect residues from quinolones (and fluoroquinolones). We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of quinolones within your food products.

  10. Sulfonamides
    Sulphonamides (also called Sulfonamides) are the oldest and remain among the most widely used antibacterial agents in veterinary medicine, chiefly because of low cost and their relative efficacy in some common bacterial diseases.
  11. Sedatives

    Fera food scientists are able to highlight and quantify the levels of a range of sedatives, within a variety of foodstuffs. We can also provide the evidence required by regulators to validate the levels of sedatives within your food products.

  12. Malachite Green, Crystal Violet, Leucomalachite Green, and Leucocrystal Violet (Combined Package)

    Fera’s specialist scientists in veterinary medicine residues conduct this test to highlight the levels of malachite green and crystal violet, and their metabolites leuco-malachite green and leuco-crystal violet, within your food samples. Fera can provide the evidence required by regulators to verify that the levels of both dyes within your food products are compliant.
